Here is the logo I have finished working on for Fur-eSports.
Below are some trial and error versions I had this morning.
I’m working on a logo for Fur-eSports but so far my “e” looks more like a basket of fruit than a paw print. I gave up on having it to the side. The toes just won’t work. Unless someone has a great diddle/ tweak. I’m going for a coffee break and see if I come back with fresh inspiration.
The site opens with an ASCII font header.
Then there are some images. I especially like the globe and the other looks like a flying saucer hovering over the ground. (Put your own spin on it).
I like these because they are more than the line ASCII art I make. These are code, a programming language, as images. If you know the program you would be able to read the language.
At the bottom of the site, a footer created with an ASCII art photograph (colour added) and plain text used for links to social media and email. Then a logo in text and his name. I like it, a sophisticated site.
I started at Ello tonight.
I could have made it bigger but then the letters wouldn’t have worked so well as eyes.
The site is Go Make it Happy. I was happy seeing a big, consumer oriented company like CocaCola using ASCII art. Even though it’s computer generated – there is a wonderfully large amount of it.
If I were a more sane person I would have split these into several posts. Instead I have left them all (over 90 image files) below the “read more” line. I wanted to not only share them all but, preserve them all too. So this is an archive of the ASCII art I found on the CocaCola Make it Happy site. It’s possible they will add more. I wish I knew. I’d like to see it all saved. Campaigns like this tend to last like a fad and then disappear. I’d like to see the ASCII art survive.
I have a few favourites and I thought to just post those. But, how could I show all the full dorkiness and fun of the collection. Some of it reminds me of the old movies advertising hot dogs and popcorn at the drive-in movies.
