PETSCII – Try the game. I didn’t get all the way through. A lack of success at the cooking stage.
I’ve saved the file of the winter barn before I add Christmas things to it. Late to be working on anything for Christmas now. But, it took awhile to make everything balance (a lot of counting lines and spaces) and then fix everything else once I had it balanced. I haven’t made (or finished) anything new in awhile. This isn’t much but it makes me feel a tiny bit better to have something. A little ASCII art queen, with crown and sceptre.
I know there are different types of ASCII art. I call some text art.Then ANSI art, Japanese ASCII art and computer generated (scanned images which are not really art at all).
Others, like typewriter art, are pretty simple to figure out (made on a typewriter).
But, I have heard the terms new skool, old skool, and of course, being a spelling and grammar person, I have never really liked them.… Read the rest

Karen Guise writes about saving wildlife, especially birds and bugs. Her art is unique. I’ve posted three, screen captures from a shop on CafePress. There are other animals: a turtle, a dragonfly which I saw on Pinterest, faces of wolves and bears, and probably others if you can manage to find them posted somewhere.
