First What is ASCII art?
Ascii-art to include drawings and animations made by signs
included in the ASCII character set. Used to draw characters
directly accessible from a standard PC keyboard, except that such
accented characters specific to that language.
Ascii-art images are mostly composed of outlines. Filled
ascii-artists are rarer. Ascii-art and pictures are NOT made by the conversion programs
graphics characters (eg gif2asc). They should not be sent to the group and pictures
made with their help (ie, later reworked, fine tuning), it

cursor to the beginning. CR and LF on Windows are inserted by pressing
Enter key and are not visible in most editors.
In the drawings ascii not use any other control codes (with the numbers
code: 0-31) in addition to CR and LF! For example, the use of tabs, which in any editor
may have a different length can cause the drawings will be illegible.
The exception is the DEL – whose effect is visible fairly quickly
after pressing. 🙂

To correctly view ascii-art images should have a well-configured
Newsreader, which is set:- Disproportionate font
- Automatic text wrapping – disabled or set to wrap
text after the example 100 characters
Automatic text wrapping (and drawings ascii-art) is a common problem
when viewing the drawings, the line length exceeds the declared
in setting the number of characters (in OE default: 72). The result is
“Shredded” ascii-artists, which can not be viewed. The solution is
wrap setting the example, 100 or more characters (up to OE 132).

dashes, dots and other marks probably have misconfigured your
newsreader.

8th Why in ascii-art does not use proportional fonts?
Ascii-artists have been invented to be able to watch them on any
machine, and for any system. Not every system has a font type ‘Arial’ or
‘Sans serif’, but everybody has a fixed-width font character.
Ascii-artists made in monospaced font looks like
regardless of the font used to watch this type. In the case of fonts
drawings will be proportional to vary strongly, and there is no guarantee
that anyone at all properly watch the figure!

9th How to watch high ascii-art images that do not fit on the screen?
By default, some readers news (them correctly) are set to the width of the text on
72 characters. If the image is larger, the reader wraps long lines, and image
you can not see.
To view it, copy the entire drawing to a different editor (such as
Notepad). Turn off automatic word-wrap and set the font
disproportionate to match the font size so that the picture was
visible. Then the only thing left is enjoying the work and sharing
