HI Canada Hostels Logo
An ASCII art based on the logo for HI Hostels Canada. I like the bottom one better. The top I tried to make more like the actual logo. I stayed at hostels in Winnipeg, Regina and Vancouver almost 20 years ago. The Jericho Beach hostel is still open. Backpackers are now flashbackers, fancier.

I sent the ASCII art to them via Twitter. Never heard anything back. As usually happens. ASCII art is under rated and only remembered by retro gamers I think.

Ello Logo in ASCII Art
I started at Ello tonight.
I could have made it bigger but then the letters wouldn’t have worked so well as eyes.
Update – The site is still going but I left. They headed in a different direction, making it about art instead of just being social. I don’t remember deleting my account (I may have) but the link is no longer there now (January, 2021).
