My Mother’s birthday is coming up so I made a flower. This isn’t the one I’m giving her. A bouquet of real flowers will be delivered for her.

An ASCII art sunflower. Inspired by my sunflower that used to wave in the sunny window. Also my vibrant, sunny nephew visiting this week.
Trying another design from a pattern in a necklace online. I am fairly sure this has already been done by others in ASCII art. I was hoping to get a poinsettia from working on this. No luck so far.
April is the month the Canadian Cancer Society has their daffodil campaign for donations. I made this daffodil pin in ASCII art. (Sent it to the Society, will see if I get a reply).
Addendum: No reply from the Cancer Society. A bit disappointing but… they wouldn’t know how much trial and error I went through to get those daffodil petals to look like 6 pointed petals and not too greatly resemble a pinwheel.
Give a pretty, sunny weed some credit.
I have to admit, I do like dandelions. To say this out loud is risky. My family are yard and garden people. Dandelions are dug up, poisoned and generally given the evil eye (especially now, when the poison has been outlawed). So I keep my liking for dandelions quiet, to myself.… Read the rest
